What mainstream media shows on Iran rarely focuses on the country’s beautiful nature, her history, and its people. In fact, I  believe throughout the last hundred years, media has misinformed the general public a great deal in regards to Iran for political purposes by creating a warped perception of the truth.

Much of what Iran looks like today is due to a past conflicted with imperial powers and religious predecessors. Just like other countries, Iran and its people are struggling to create a unified identity in an increasingly difficult society, while staying true to its history and values.

With these images I would like to present viewers with an alternative look at what Iran looks like today, as seen through my eyes, and captured through my lens.
